Pitch is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.

1. Who we are

Pitch is a women's football app offering live scores, news, transfers, standings, player profiles and a fan community. The app is developed and operated by Ode101.

2. Information we collect

Most of Pitch is browse-only — you can use scores, news, standings and the rest without an account. We keep data collection to a minimum.

Technical data — when you open the app, our hosting provider automatically processes standard information such as device type, operating system and IP address, used to deliver the app securely and reliably.
Community content — if you choose to post in the Community, we collect and store the content you provide: a display name, a handle and your post text. Posting does not require an account.
Email address (optional) — if you choose to sign up for the “Pitch Briefing”, we collect and store the email address you provide so we can send you women's football news and updates. This is entirely optional, and the app works fully without it.

Community posts are public. Anything you post in the Community is visible to everyone who uses Pitch. Please do not include personal, private or sensitive information in your posts.

We do not currently use behavioural analytics or advertising trackers. If we add analytics in future (for example, Mixpanel) to understand which features are used, we will update this policy and disclose it before doing so.

We do not collect your name, precise location or other personal information unless you choose to provide it — for example, by signing up for email updates, emailing us, or posting in the Community.

3. How we use your information

To operate, deliver and secure the app.
To display Community posts to other users.
To send you Pitch news and updates by email, but only if you have signed up for them.
To maintain and improve features and fix problems.

We do not sell your data, we never sell or share your email address, and we do not use your data for advertising. You can unsubscribe from emails or request deletion of your email at any time (see section 10).

4. Community conduct & content removal

The Community is a public space. By posting, you agree not to share content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful or that infringes others' rights.

You can request removal of a post you made — or report content that breaks these rules — by emailing pitchfootball2@gmail.com, and we will review and remove content where appropriate. We are also adding in-app tools to report posts and block users.

5. Third-party services

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the app:

Netlify — hosts and delivers the app; processes standard technical and log data.
Supabase — securely stores the Community posts and optional email sign-ups you choose to submit.
Apple App Store & Google Play — distribute the app to your device.
Sports data providers (such as API-Football) — supply the scores, fixtures and stats shown in the app. We send no personal information to them.
YouTube — video highlights in the app are played through YouTube's privacy-enhanced embedded player. When you choose to play a clip, YouTube (Google) may process standard technical data in line with its own privacy policy. No video loads until you tap play on a clip.

6. Data security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS encryption.
Community posts are stored with database access controls (row-level security) that limit how the data can be accessed.
Your information is never shared with advertisers or data brokers.

7. Data retention

Community posts are kept until you ask us to remove them, or until we remove them under section 4. If you sign up for email updates, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Technical logs are kept only as long as needed to operate and secure the app.

8. International users

Our providers (such as Netlify and Supabase) may process and store data on servers located in other countries. By using Pitch, you understand that your information may be processed outside your country of residence.

9. Children's privacy

Pitch is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

10. Your rights

You can:

Ask what data we hold about you.
Request deletion of your data, including any Community posts.
Unsubscribe from email updates, or ask us to delete your email address.
Opt out of any future analytics.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will note significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, with a notice in the app.
